You may feel fine but be at-risk for lung problems (due to smoking or work exposures) or be found to have an abnormal test, for example: a spot on your chest X-ray or an abnormal TB skin test. More often, patients with lung conditions will have symptoms that lead to a consultation with Dr. Stadnyk. During your consultation, Dr. Stadnyk may ask you about nonspecific symptoms, such as weight change or fatigue, as well as symptoms that are more specific to lung diseases (cough, change in sputum, blood spitting or wheezing). You should be evaluated by Dr. Stadnyk if you have an established pulmonary (lung) condition for confirmation of your pulmonary diagnosis and discussion of an appropriate, individualized treatment and intervention plan. Sometimes, your symptoms may be unusual for your condition and call for evaluation by a lung specialist even though you may have, for example, heart or kidney problems.

The links on this page seem to have fairly unbiased and reliable information about common lung conditions and concerns; those marked [$] are commercial. That being said, you may find some websites that are better and/or more applicable to your conditions and concern at that moment in time. As always, please use your common sense when looking at information on the Internet and remember what your mother said: “don’t believe everything that you read!”
