Alexander N. Stadnyk MD is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Pulmonary Medicine is a branch of Internal Medicine that involves the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the lungs and breathing, as well as the evaluation of sleep disorders and in-hospital Critical Care which may involve the use of a respirator (breathing machine). Conditions that are evaluated include asthma, bronchitis, COPD, cough, trouble breathing, wheezing, lung cancer, pneumonia, lung fibrosis, sarcoid, pneumonia, nodules or x-ray abnormalities and lung infections such as TB (tuberculosis).

If need be, Dr. Stadnyk performs bronchoscope examinations of the lungs at the Endoscopy facility at St.Lukes Episcopal Hospital. Bronchoscopy examinations may help to promptly and accurately diagnose lung conditions and to determine the most appropriate specific treatment plan for each patient.
